Deleuze, Marx, Tech, Capitalism

Gilles Deleuze is a Marxist at heart, and he likes to distort philosophers’ works to his benefit—turning Nietzsche into a Marxist is an example. Despite this, I find some of his ideas to be intriguing, and if he gets to distort the works of others to his benefit, I will distort and use his concepts to my benefit. He had discussed the issue of “societies of control”—it is a concept that society is transforming into a unified blend, where the control of the state and the workplace become one—this is a society that evolves from the disciplinary societies of Michael Foucault, where work, school, and other places set their own rules and expectations—Deleuze argues that technology has caused these systems to unify into one, in which the society at large controls with the same expectations and rules in all parts of an individual’s life. I would argue that China and its social credit system and means of tracking and censoring people is an example of a system of control—states have weaponized technology to control people, to deprive people of their liberties. Marxists would like to blame capitalism while I would blame the power of control is coming from the state to cause harm to personal liberties and human rights. Deleuze goes to state that the systems of control can be used against the system—I would agree with this notion. Technology has also made it easier to fight states. VPNs, Bitcoin, hacking, and so much more has offered new means to go around systems of control. The irony is that such technology that is used to control people can now be used to manipulate states. Future revolutions are likely to be tech driven. Tech can also be the great means of placing control on states. A push for capitalism that encourages tech progress works to benefit the global community and to protect liberties. Just as tech has been used to control, it might in the end be the source to limiting that control.

Most legal way to obtain any kind of psychedelics in Canada?

I live in the middle of buttfuck nowhere and it's void of a friendly neighbourhood drug dealer. What's the safest and most legal way to obtain shrooms, LSD, or peyote? (Not interested in LSA, Woodrose, or morning glory etc.) Shrooms seem like the easiest thing to get but I'm more interested in acid tbh.
I heard that shroom grow kits are legal, but do they really come with everything I need including spores? Anyone know if any peyote (or similar substance) producing cacti are legal in Canada?
If I do decide to buy from somewhere shady, is it enough to use a VPN, bitcoin, and using Tor, follow a link to a 'dispensary' from the deepweb index or whatever it's called? Do I need to worry about using a fake name or customs being curious about what's in my package?

Weed, Vaping, and VPN see the highest growth rate in the bitcoin merchant ecosystem for the year 2020 - data says....

When we look at bitcoin’s adoption from the e-commerce standpoint it comes as no surprise that it has seen a sharp rise. Merchants and customers alike around the world enjoy bitcoin’s borderless and control-free transactions.
Just like bitcoin, the landscape of merchants using bitcoin has changed over the years.
A study was recently conducted to analyze the bitcoin merchant data and see how the market has evolved in the past years [2017–2020], leading to some interesting finds.
#1 Web Hosting, Pharma/Health, and Cannabis take almost 75% of the entire bitcoin merchant ecosystem in 2020.
#2 Industries that have embraced bitcoin are not just selling digital products but also physical goods.
Industries such as Cannabis, Pharma/Health, Vaping have seen a rise in adoption since 2017, and the trend is only going up.
#3 Interestingly enough, Mining is the one and only industry that sees a drop in adoption.
#4 The 3 industries that saw the highest growth rate in the year 2020 compared to 2019 were Cannabis, Vaping, and VPN.
VPN saw the highest increase of 80%, followed by Vaping with 64% and finally by Cannabis with 54%.

What are your thoughts on how the bitcoin merchant market has changed?

How to pay for Air Tickets, Netflix, Steam, VPN, and other services using Bitcoin in Lebanon

There has been an increase in interest in Bitcoin usage, more people are realizing the freedom Bitcoin can provide to current limitations, and many people are asking what can we use Bitcoin for other than storing value from ever dropping local currency, on top of it it’s getting harder to pay for online services, hosts, vpns, netflix and if you are running a small business in resale you are facing a lot of challenges as well.
Many popular websites are already accepting direct payments in Bitcoin, others you will need to go through a payment processor or by buying gift cards.
Using Bitrefill or Cryptorefills you will be able to purchase a digital gift card that can be redeemed in your account with selected denomination. Your usual tools like tor, vpns (not to be used together), and portable boots like tails all on public wifi. Yadda yadda, you know.
But then there's things like no reusing conjoined wallets, mixing funds in and out and all throughout each transaction, and worrying about source of funds and how tainted they've become and that you're mixing your not so illicit comparatively funds with. Not to mention that mixers are being reverse mixed and traced as each day goes, because the more people that slip up takes away from your anon-set...
Dude there's just so much not gonna lie lol. And I'm far from the person with all the answers to this stuff... I know just enough to make sure that my personal rights to privacy are secured. I know that using Monero simplifies the more stressing part of it by not making me worry about abstract kyc and all stuff that will only get more stringent. Like let's say 5 years from now if the dude from Craigslist that bought my car last week got caught selling heroin. And they suspect he's been laundering money. So in the name of civil asset forfeiture, you have to return that amount to the state until you can prove a number of absurd things. With an opaque blockchain, those scenarios will basically just never happen...

Want to buy a VPN with Bitcoin, but here's come trouble

I have never used Bitcoin in my life, only have read about it.
The problem is: I'm from Brazil (R$), the VPN only accepts dollars or Bitcoin. I want to buy that VPN anonymously, so a credit card is a no-no. I want to know if someone know a website that I can buy bitcoin with R$, not have to identify myself and, if a good soul wants to help, teach me how to make a transaction or how it works. Thank you very much and sorry for the trouble.

Bitcoin core node and VPN

Hi everyone,
Like most people here I'm new and starting on my journey with Bitcoin. I have been reading a fair bit and finally decided to open my own Bitcore node for maximum security alongside a hardware (Trezor) wallet. I have a question about VPNs though.
Will it affect my security whenever I am connected through a VPN while I'm running my node? Are these two - the node and the VPN - functionally different? or am I just being overtly cautious?
Thank you.
