A place to gather and discuss topics regarding block chain based project development, economics, and news. Technical development, demonstrations, critical papers, block chain systems, and smart contracts preferred. Not a place to advertise your new cryptocurrency, instead provide a write-up or demonstration of its novel features.

Cryptography is the art of creating mathematical assurances for who can do what with data, including but not limited to encryption of messages such that only the key-holder can read it. Cryptography lives at an intersection of math and computer science. This subreddit covers the theory and practice of modern and *strong* cryptography, and it is a technical subreddit focused on the algorithms and implementations of cryptography.

TokenPay is a decentralized and self-verifying payment platform.

This means he either lied in court (purjury) or need to provide evidence he actually has access to these wallets too.
- This proves someone involved in the early days of Bitcoin (mathematically verifiable) thinks Craig Wright is not Satoshi.
- This does not mean Satoshi signed this message (it could be though). It does not matter anyway, we are all Satoshi.

Bitcoin intersects with the field of mathematics at several points including basic algebra, calculus, geometry, and more advanced fields such as cryptography, game theory, and computer science. Bitcoin can be used to teach all of these concepts in a classroom. As these intersections are developed, more information will be provided. For now, take a look at how Bitcoin can help teach about ... To make any sense of Bitcoin's solution to this problem, you need to understand also what is meant by "distributed timestamp server" and how proof of work hashes can be used to construct this. It is, very briefly, explained in Sections 3 and 4 of the bitcoin whitepaper. You're creating a sequence of blocks, tied to each other by including the hash of the last one in the next one. This proves ... Bitcoin can only function because of the clever mathematics which is in the background enabling it to exist. In fact Bitcoin is often called a ‘cryptocurrency’ because its existence relies on cryptography – the branch of mathematics related to keeping information secret. Since its creation in 2009 Bitcoin has created intense media coverage and speculation as to what will happen with this ...
